Stamp Something challenge

Ok, last challenge for the night, I better get to bed!! Here is the Stamp Something challenge for this week!

I used Real Red and Yoyo Yellow card stock, and a couple of different patterned papers I had laying around. I used the Pun Fun stamp set from SU.

Thanks for looking!:)

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Stitching

I was happy when I saw this challenge, because I have been wanting to do this card since I saw it on someone's blog!!:) So, this is definitely FAUX stitching!:)

I used Eastern Blooms and Define Your Life stamp sets from Stampin' Up, the Top Note Die from SU, Going Gray inkpad, and Whisper White card stock. I used various pattern papers.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Another challenge card, this time for Sketch Saturday, which is linked over to the right, under Challenges.

I made my own pattern paper using Botanical Blooms from SU. I used Yoyo Yellow and Tempting Turquoise card stock from SU and some pattern paper I had from somewhere. I used the Stamping Bella Ketto Ivy stamp and colored it in using my Stampin' Pastels and Blender Pen. I then stamped You're the Best from A Little Birdie Told Me in Pacific Blue ink.

Thanks for looking!:)

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Here is a quick Spring card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. I used Flight of the Butterfly, Botanical Blooms, and Define Your Life stamp sets from Stampin' Up. I also used Real Red, Pixie Pink, and Green Galore stamp pads.

i{heart}2stamp challenge

I so wanted to join in a challenge today, and I got to!!:) Here is my card for the challenge, I wish the lighting in my kitchen was better :(

Here is a mini-tutorial on how I made the card:

Supplies:
Card Stock - Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and some patterned paper I had
Stamps - Charlotte Ketto from Stamping Bella, Define Your Life "unique" stamp from SU, Friend and Forever from SU Fundamental Phrases
Ink - Basic Black and Pacific Point Classic Stamp Pads from SU
Other - Hooray Designer Hardware from SU, Blender Pen from SU, Stampin' Pastels from SU, Scallop punch from SU, Paper Trimmer, Crop-a-Dile tool, sponge, Snail or other adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, scissors

Make card base from Whisper White 10" x 6", fold to 5 1/2" x 6"
Also in Whisper White, cut 2 pieces: 4" x 2 1/2" and 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"; using sponge ink around edges of these two pieces with Pacific Point ink.

From Tempting Turquoise card stock, cut 2 pieces: 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" and 3 7/8" x 2 3/8". On the bigger piece, take and rough up the edges all around using either your bone folder, distressing tool, or your fingernail. Also cut out one scallop using the Scallop punch. Then cut into the scallop; I cut in every other scallop to make something that looked kind of like hearts.

From patterned paper of your choice, cut 1 piece 4 3/4" x 5 3/4".

Stamp main image onto the smallest piece of Whisper White. Using Stampin' Pastels and a Blender Pen, color the image to your liking. I used Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, and Tempting Turquoise pastels.

Make a small strip with Tempting Turqoise card stock (I used a little scrap). Then cut into the end of the strip to make a banner. Stamp on this strip a word or two; I used Friend and Forever stamped in Pacific Point ink.

Layer on top of your Whisper White card the patterned paper and the bigger piece of Tempting Turquoise (this goes along the top of the card). Then layer the Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and stamped image on top of each other using adhesive. Adhere this layered group down on the card as shown above in picture.

Stamp using Pacific Point and the Unique stamp from Define Your Life into the Tempting Turquoise card stock.

Then down in the blank corner punch a hole for your Designer Hardware. Also punch a hole in the middle of your scallop. Layer the scallop and the hardware and affix to the card using the Crop-a-Dile tool.

Adhere your banner over the bottom of your stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed this!:)

Stamp Club Card

So, we didn't really get much weather last night other than freezing rain, but it is snowing still right now. I did not go to work because I was so afraid of the weather and road conditions. Oh well, better safe than sorry! Today, I cleaned my messy house! lol And I finally got to start stamping about 4 pm. I have managed to get my card done for our monthly Stamp Club card swap! I love how they turned out!! :) I used one of my new Stamping Bella stamps: Yoko and Ono! Here is a mini card tutorial to keep you busy for a bit!:)

Supplies:
Card Stock - Whisper White, and Real Red
Ink Colors - Basic Black and Basic Brown
Stamps: main stamp of your choice, Eastern Blooms stamp set from SU, Fundamental Phrases from SU
Other items - Blender pen from Stampin' Up, paper trimmer, sponge, Stampin' Pastels from SU, Top Note Die for the Big Shot or Big Kick, dimensionals, Snail or some sort of adhesive

Cut your Whisper White card stock to be 6" x 8.5" and fold to be 6" x 4 1/4"
Use your Top Note die with the remaining Whisper White card stock to cut a Top Note die cut
Cut your Real Red card stock to be 5 3/4" x 4". Rough up the edges of the Real Red card stock. I used the edge of my bone folder to rough it up, but you could use any distresser or even your fingernail.

Using Basic Brown Classic Stampin' Pad and a sponge, sponge around the edges of the Top Note die cut. Ink your main image and stamp in with Basic Black on the Top Note die cut. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure all my stamped images were exactly where I wanted them. Then take one of the small flowers from the Eastern Blooms set and stamp it three times with Basic Brown on the Top Note die cut, along the opposite edge from where you stamped your main image. Then take a word from the Fundamental Phrases set (I used Friend) and stamp it with Basic Brown where you want your greeting.

On your Real Red card stock, stamp the flowered tree limp from Eastern Blooms with Basic Brown ink once on each side of the piece of card stock.

Back to the Top Note die cut. Using your Blender Pen and Stampin' Pastels, color in your images with the colors you wish to use. I used Ruby Red, Summer Sun, and Night of Navy. Make sure you clean your Blender Pen between colors by rubbing it off onto some scrap paper. I love using the Stampin' Pastels this way; it makes me think of water colors.

On the inside of your Whisper White card that you have folded, using your 3 flower stamp from the Eastern Blooms set, stamp the image with Basic Brown along the bottom right hand corner.

Using Snail or some sort of adhesive, stick your Real Red card stock to the front of the Whisper White card. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, stick your finished Top Note die cut to the front of the Real Red card stock. Card = Finished! :) I hope this was all clear enough, as this was my very first card tutorial! lol

Storm of the Century lol

So, here in Missouri, the sky is supposed to dump a ton of snow on us! Did the sky forget that it is the end of March and we are done with snow?? The weather people(can't really say weather MEN anymore, because that is a bit sexist!) say we can get somewhere from 6-10 inches of snow over tonight and tomorrow! Yikes!

I am thinking of calling in sick tonight. I work nights from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am at ADT Security as an Emergency Dispatch Operator (exciting name for a boring job!). I have only been there 2 months and am not sure if I have any sick days... so I called to ask about that and they didn't know either! lol So, I left a message for my manager to call me back but I am not sure if she will be there before I am supposed to leave for work...

Ok, so if I do call in, I plan to stick around home and spend some time with my hubby and 3 sons AND I can sleep tonight, because I have BIG plans for tomorrow: clean house!! lol EW!! Ok, so after I clean house, I will reward myself with some cardmaking time! YES!! Then I will post pics here! So, wish me luck that I get to stay home tonight and don't have to drive 30 minutes both ways through the snow! I HATE driving in the snow!!

Blog Candy

So, I am posting blog candy from other people's blogs in the sidebar, and eventually I will have blog candy here. Anyway, here is the link to an exceptionally good blog candy:

http://jennifer-phoenixcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/03/easter-blog-candy.html

Welcome to my blog

Yeah, as I said above, welcome to my blog! I have decided to become a Stampin' Up demonstrator! I have been using Stampin' Up products for a while, and always get real excited about all of the products offered, so I decided to would try this as a business. I would like to show other people how much fun stamping can be, and maybe earn a little bit of what I spend on this hobby! lol

Anyway, I am still working on the blog, so be careful where you step! ;)

I am planning to do some youtube videos of different techniques as well! I am also planning on starting some stamp clubs. More about that later!:)

Talk to you later!
